The freeware Lancaster is easy to fly. Final approach = 90 kts (105 mph ASI), full flap, gear down. Main gear touchdown. Do NOT try to 3-point land. Roll out on landing less than 1000 ft and will easily land on either grass runway at Caen.

Permission, Sir, to depart from EGLK = wartime RAF Hartford Bridge = modern day Blackbushe (17 nmi at 240 degrees from Heathrow) and join up mid-air? I trained for my pilot's license at EGLK in the 1980s, and I still have their 50 year D-Day anniversary stamp on my logbook when I flew there in June 1994...

(FWIW, Blackbushe was narrowly beaten by Heathrow as London's post-war principal civil airport.)

Little Cube, flightlead...expect RedBox primary FSX classic server as well as ATPJet FSX Steam NA server to be reset to UTC plus 8 hours, fair weather theme, Gatwick Airport EGKK servers host airport for this group flight, as you requested of me. I will perform these server resets three hours before your scheduled departure time of 21:00, 9:00 PM, EST (0200UTC). This time of day setting will result in a mid-morning group flight departure from Heathrow EGLL. I will similarly configure BigBox server as backup for either FSX classic or Steam should any server problems arise.

I will log on TeamSpeak and into multiplayer FSX one hour before flight time in the recommended Lancaster freeware to assist you however you might need, including TeamSpeak group flight channel textual editing. I will personally volunteer to marshal your flight as necessary. I will gather those active members and staff who, like yourself, prove so helpful in the management of our TS and other facilities before and during your group flight.

We deeply appreciate the spirit of your group flight and we look forward to sharing appropriate historical anecdotes from our lives with you in flight.
              Respects, Bob ...

Thanks for coming all we had a great turnout to remember those who protect us Past and present it was great i will just end off with my favorite poem

                      by John McCrae, May 1915

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
                      In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
                      In Flanders fields.
