Staff Meeting

Hello Staff, we will be having a general staff meeting on September 12 2015. Starting time will be 7pm UTC (3pm EDT).

Agenda:

1. new user Registration and their permissions:
   new users will not be allowed to post external links until a set period. However, after registering they will be allowed to view all areas of the website, including our download section.
2. Membering Guidelines:
   Should the criteria requirements to give out a member badge be low or high? Should we grant a member badge to anyone that seems normal, or should we require a higher bar such as forum registration?
3. new members start out in the member badge channel:
   Should new users without a member badge land in the member badge channel, or should they land in the regular lobby?
4. music/radio Channel:
   who should we grant music playing ability to? What if music being played is inappropriate? Should we get rid of the music channel because of the hassles it presents?
5. Social media management:
   Who has/wants access to the our social media. Do we even want to have a pressence on social media?
6. Teamviewer access:
   Who has/wants teamviewer access to our severs. Should all staff have access or should it be limited to a few volunteer staff?
7. Is fsOpen worth the $12 per month?:
   Since a large portion of our community now uses Steam/P3D, is $12 a month really worth it for fsOpen? The $12 version is only necessary when our server has more then 10 players...which is a rarity....we usually only go over 10 players during group flights.

I have two ideas for the music channel;
Idea 1: Someone or certain people who is interested in playing music regularly could have the permission of giving talk power and revoking talk power to themselves.
Idea 2:
1. Senior Operators/admins or certain people who is interested in playing music could have the permission of giving talk power and revoking talk power.
2. If someone wants to play music before giving them talk power (Step 2) tell them not play any inappropriate music/songs and maybe tell them about the consequences if inappropriate music is played.
3. Should be a time limit of how long they could play music (e.g. 30 mins, 1 hour) Then should either listen to the music/songs being played until their time for playing music is finished or you trust them enough to not play inappropriate music/songs.

For either of my ideas I'm willing to help out if possible.

That's my thoughts and ideas.
