    Full flight plan:

    FLIGHT PLAN
    • No leg is GPS direct.
    • We will be following roads.
    • Intermediate airports will be touch and goes.
    • We may change course on approaches for full stop, according to surface wind.

Flight plan in tabular form, flight maps and airport diagrams here.

    CRUISE
    Speed: 95 knots, 110 mph
    Altitude: 4,500 ft

    AIRCRAFT
Ford Trimotors preferred. Equivalent speed aircraft OK. Default Cessna 172 works.
A fixed wing taildragger is best: they can easily do touch-and-goes at full speed.

    RESTRICTIONS
    No jets.

    WHICH VERSION, CLASSIC OR STEAM?
This is primarily a Classic/Boxed flight.
(You are welcome to follow along in Steam or P3D but your security is not guaranteed!)

    WEATHER
We'll use live weather. Wind is expected from the southeast.
Touch-and-goes will be full speed straight-in with following winds.
Full stops will join downwind, left-hand circuit, for east or southeasterly runways.

    SCENERY
    Default OK.

Highly recommended: FSgenesis US landclass (inexpensive payware).
FTX Global 1.30 and Vector 1.20 good but optional (expensive payware).
Vector users please see recommendations here.

Reminder: Bring your Ford Trimotor or other taildragger to KBYI at 9pm for Touch-and-goes in Idaho!
Trivia: What shibboleth will we meet tonight? And I’m just going to leave this here...

Wonderful pics guys! Thank you. :eagerness: We had nearly 30 pilots in channel for the flight, most of whom were flying Ford Trimotors. An excellent turnout!

Stay tuned for next week's flight, the penultimate one in the Great 48! series. We'll be flying through Oregon, in OV-10A Broncos, in your choice of NFL colors (or a neutral livery). Details to come. Meanwhile, here's my choice of livery! ...

OV-10A Bronco by Tim "Piglet" Conrad. Denver Broncos livery by Novawing24. Centennial airport (KAPA) scenery by Todd Harrell.
Aircraft is parked at KAPA less than 1 mile from Dove Valley, the Denver Broncos' HQ and training facility.

Stacked airplanes... Brilliant use of an automotive trick for maximizing ramp space utilization!

Take the time, a second to soar; for soon after, beckons a second more.
