  • Dead Simulator Appreciation Society Meeting! In Memorium 2000UTC / 1600 EDT

    Greetings pilots,

I am presenting this flight in Memorium of one of our Microsoft Flight Pilots "The Old Coot". Sadly earlier this year he passed away. For those of us who have been in Flight since it's inception Coot was a well liked, well respected and very influential member of the Flight world.

Although never a member here at msFlights, we had all flown with him at one point or another and his contributions to the wider Flight community were varied and numerous.

We will be flying Cubs in Alaska, Flight plan information to follow.

Please note this will be in MICROSOFT FLIGHT!

For those who still wish to pay tribute to this great contributor to virtual aviation but do not have Flight, you are more than welcome to join us in TS or by flying the route in your simulator of choice.

For those who are aslo members of other forums and know of other Flight flyers please pass the word on about our little flight.

    Safe Skies

Take the time, a second to soar; for soon after, beckons a second more.

I was one of those people who started in Microsoft Flight before coming over to FSX and msFlights. There was a time after development on Microsoft Flight was stopped, and when it was later officially abandoned, that I would occasionally talk with TheOldCoot in that game. I tried to interest him in FSX and msFlights, even inviting him over to out TS, but nothing ever came of it. (He may have tried our TS once, but I can't confirm it.)

Some of our msFlights regulars knew Coot, and some of the other people who regularly participated in his group flights on Microsoft Flight.

Wingman, yes it is. He kept an aerocache project going for quite a while after they officially stopped.

Indeed Coast, I like you did not come to FSX until well after Flight's stopped development.
