    CRUISE
    Speed: 320 knots
Altitude: up to 10,000 ft (but low where possible)

    AIRCRAFT
Vintage* military jet fighters and fighter bombers (* where vintage = first flight at least 50 years ago, i.e. 1965 or earlier).

There are many suitable freeware aircraft: first and second generation fighters will do nicely.
Many of Robert James Richardson's wonderful freeware aircraft will work well, such as the Attacker, the Meteor**, the Vampire and the Venom (** see the event banner for four msflight pilots' Meteors in formation).

I'll be flying the Gloster Javelin (Virtavia payware, pic below) as it's an early birthday present!
I'll fly the unusual red and white livery from the Duxford Imperial War Museum exhibit.

    RESTRICTIONS
    No props.
    No civilian aircraft.
No aircraft that first flew after 1965.

    WHICH VERSION, CLASSIC OR STEAM?
This is primarily a Classic/Boxed flight. (You can follow along in Steam but your security is not guaranteed.)

    WEATHER
Server weather, set to fair (calm below 4,000ft). Client side weather generators (like Active Sky Next) are not recommended for this particular flight.

    SCENERY
Highly recommended: FSgenesis US landclass (inexpensive payware).
FTX Global 1.30 and Vector 1.20 good but optional (expensive payware).
Vector users please see recommendations here.

RECOMMENDED SCENERY ADDITIONS FOR FTX GLOBAL USERS
You can download the whole series of freeware FTX global airport packs here.
All airports except KBLH (starting) are OrbX freeware airports. :eagerness:

Server has been set to fair weather. Had to reset the system due to some equipment replacement by the ISP.
