This is the third Route "66" group flight. Last time we started in Illinois, and finished at the western border of Missouri. This time we will fly in three states. We start in Missouri at the destination airport of our last group flight, try to find someplace in Kansas where we can do a tenuous TOUCH-N-GO, and bounce along a few airports in Oklahoma.
Apparently an ACTIVE airport in Kansas that is also somewhere near the old Route 66 is hard to find, and probably does not exist in Xplane. The picture below is the actual airstrip at Walter A Swalley Airpark (78KS) which apparently does not exist anymore. The insert is an enlargement of the existing "runway" if that term has any real meaning anymore.
