Friday Night Flights: open!

This is a practice event to test & hone your carrier operations skills. Jet aircraft only for this, however it is open ended with what type of jet you take. Trainers, Modern, or older aircraft are all acceptable.

We will be loading into the SanFrancisco-area carrier mission in multiplayer.


This event will be in boxed edition.
This event will begin around 9pm ET.

I will need some help getting this going tonight. I haven't had much time to prepare. Is the mission able to be loaded on our boxed server?

Do not forget that with Multiplayer missions the number of participants is set by the mission itself. If the mission only has spots for 8 pilots then only 8 will be able to fly the mission. the others will be stuck in the lobby.

additionally the host will take up one of the available slots and someone will have to select start on the host screen once everyone is connected in the lobby and ready to fly.

On top of that, if I am not mistaken when the missions are run in multiplayer, everyone planning on participating has to be in the server when the host starts the mission, otherwise they come in as Observer.

I will postpone this event until I come up with something more effective, perhaps I will research the San Diego carrier or the playable carrier to see what will work best for us.

I am going to be helping my Uncle with some furniture this evening so this event date will be open, if anyone can plan an impromptu flight of any type that they're in the mood for that'd be awesome!

I will be on later tonight most likely but will miss our normal flying hours.

We can just use the regular ai carriers and javier nimitz to do a carrier session. If everyone has that then we can all place a carrier at the same waypoint and we will all see each other landing on the carrier. The only catch is that the carrier is stationary.
