Watching Brian (ATPJET) land a 747 a couple of times recently I really enjoyed watching that huge monster gracefully track through the air. I thought perhaps we would take Lazer's cargo flight theme to an extreme. Our group flights ordinarily involve small to mid size aircraft. We don't use the heavies often at all. Flying the heavies is not too much different. Big is certainly fun. But long legs, not so much, particularly at high altitudes. The aspect of flying these aircraft that makes them so unique are the takeoffs & landings. I think less cruise time & more landing time would be preferable.
*UPDATED 26 March 2015 @ 2150z (1750 EDT)
This will be with the BOX/CLASSIC Version of FSX, not the Steam version.
AIRCRAFT: Get the biggest fattest aircraft that you like. I suspect most people will be flying things like 747's & AN-225's. I will likely be flying a C-17 GlobeMaster.
FLIGHT PLAN: KJFK-KPHL-KMDT-KDCA. [A FSX Flight pln file is in the "File Browser" of the MSFlight Lobby channel of Teamspeak.]
RESTRICTIONS: We won't be needing fighter escorts. Our regular Raptor guys will take care of that as they see fit. (They know who they are).
