This week, as a tribute to and a celebration of our dear friend Lazerbolt's longtime contribution to our community, we'll fly through his home state of Michigan in cargo props. Anything you fly on his Thursday night flights will be acceptable, though there'll be one significant difference: we'll only be flying at 3,000 feet!

CRUISE Speed: 260 knots Altitude: 3,000 ft AIRCRAFT Cargo props, such as we fly on Lazerbolt's Thursday Around the World night flights. Performance required: steady 260 kts; take-off/landing roll less than 3,500 ft. Examples: C-130 Hercules, An-12, An-32, C-119 Boxcar, Howard 500. (Apart from the C-130, all the others are available on my OneDrive.)<<corrected link. I will be flying the Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar. RESTRICTIONS No jets. Cargo props only. (The default King Air is not fast enough.) WHICH VERSION, CLASSIC OR STEAM? We will be using Classic, not Steam. We will continue to use Classic in future weeks for the Great 48! until more critical add-ons are working, at which point we'll move to Steam. WEATHER Server weather (fair). We will not be using real-life weather this week. SCENERY Default OK. Highly recommended: Lazerbolt's special scenery for the area! (see reply below). Highly recommended: FSgenesis US landclass (inexpensive payware). FTX Global 1.30 and Vector 1.20 good but optional (expensive payware). Vector users please see recommendations here.
