  • Wonders of the World! - GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE

This week we will be flying to the Golden Gate Bridge! I should specify that we will be flying under the Golden Gate Bridge. The aircraft genre of choice would be the turboprop genre. No jets! Our cruising speed will be anywhere from 200kts - 250kts. Our cruising altitude will be relatively low, but at the highest it will be 5,000ft. I intent to take off at 7:15 PM EST (UTC -5:00). Don't worry if you show up late, because the focus of the flight is at the very end. Just jump in behind someone already in the air, and enjoy the scenery. See you in California!

FLIGHT PLAN: KACV --> Golden Gate Bridge --> KOAK

I looked at your flight plan and came up with one with far fewer waypoints. You really only need a couple reference points for this flight since we could fly VFR along the coast until we get to the area of the Golden Gate Bridge. I have put together a different flight plan that ignores the GPS, and uses a couple VOR's close to KOAK. I think a mostly VFR flight would be more fun.
